The second step to creating your business is to is to write down your goals or the mission statement of your project or business. This may seem trivial at first, but writing down what you intend to accomplish is a major step. Our minds are filled with half baked plans and passing thought that seem to be a great plan at the time, but after a bit deeper inspection of your master plan, you start to spot the holes in it.
Writing down your goal(s) of your work will give you a clear vision of what you want to achieve. It will define the work you want to do. It allows you to show your clients that founding principles of your project or company and would attracted like mind people around you. Steve Jobs had mentioned the core values of a company should never change. This is the character of the business and if this change then you will alienate your clients. When we think of Apple products it is very high-quality material that it simply user interface and seem more like a fashion accessory than a piece of technology. If any of these factors changes then the clients would question what is having with Apple.
The second thing why you should writing down your goals is to have a copy available for you to review on a regular basis. This will allow you to keep trace of your original vision of the project. The moment that you review your goals and it does not seem to match the actions that you are taking for your project take a small pause and review what is happening with your project and why it seems to be going in a different direction that the original purpose.
If you want to take it a step further print it out place it in a frame and hang it on a wall and read it out loud once a day for a constant reminder of what you are trying to achieve.
